After much research, my wife and I are going to spend 3 weeks in Estelí at the CENAC Escuela de Español from mid Oct. to mid Nov.  While not in school, we will be helping a church in Pueblo Nuevo.

The purpose of this posting is provide information and links to the schools that I have found in, or near to, Estelí.

How was your experience with CENAC? Do the teachers pay attention to detail in teaching their students? The English grammar-which really should hold little baring to their rating-is fairly poor on their website, yet I find it makes me question how well they might foster a well-rounded fluency in their native language. Also, did you volunteer through one of the organizations they are affiliated with during your time taking courses?
Thank you.

Very thorough list, thank you! CENAC and Horizonte have been around the longest and have great reputations.
