It was my understanding that everyone builds with quarried stone in most areas in Nicaragua.  But I've also heard that another material used is something like a CMU block - like we use in the states.  Can anyone shed some light on these building materials used?  Cost?  Anything?

Thanks.

First of all Hello to all memebers this is MY FIRST post

Okay the short answer is NO
We can build using any or all US standards including Tropical depression ratings and or storms.
We have variable amount of building materials here from poor to first rated.
Imported and homegrown. We build with wood as well as we have a lot of this material available in all sorts of Hardwood varieties.
Any question Please feel free to contact me here or via my email  JorgeGiraldez@yahoo.com
