Managua to Waspam to Corn Island?

Ok,

Here's the question.  I am going to Waspam in Nov with my family.  I know the bridge is out between Waspam and Puerto Cabezas, making overland travel to Puerto out of the question (at least with a 2 year old and luggage in tow it is).  We want to take a flight on the most direct route from Waspam to Corn Island.  Does anyone know what the current situation is with Costeña's flights?  Does one have to fly all the way back to Managua and then from there to Bluefields/Corn Island?  Or can you get a flight from Waspam to Puerto Cabezas, and then on to Corn Island?
