I saw a couple of beautiful Quetzals on my horse back tour in Miraflor. www.visitamiraflor.com. I highly recommend Lenen as a guide he is very friendly and knowledgeble about wildlife.

That's fantastic news; it's been ages since I've heard about a Quetzal siting, and given Nicaragua's proclivity for deforestation, this is big news.  Miraflor remains the single best place to see one, so you were in the right place (and apparently, at the right time!).  Congrats, and thanks for the good news.  It's a gorgeous bird.
