I recently got Lasik eye surgery and no longer need my prescription eyeglasses.    I am am visiting in July and would like all my old eyeglasses go to good use.    Are there any Nica organizations could use them?

Start by contacting your local Lion's Club -- they seem to be pretty active with eyeglass donations. Or ask your optometrist if they know any intn'l groups that accept donations.
